24th Annual Wildflower & Crafts Festival
The Salado Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 24th Annual Wildflower Arts & Crafts Festival at the Salado Civic Center on Saturday, March 23, 2023, and Sunday, March 24, 2023. Festivities will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday the 23rd and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday the 24th. The public is invited, and admission is free!
Over 80 vendors will be present to showcase and sell handmade goods including woodwork, pet items, jewelry, painting, pottery and more. There will be various food trucks on site with a variety of local foods for sale.
“We have doubled this event in recent years,” said Amanda Organ, Executive Director of the Salado Chamber. “It is so nice to see the traveling vendors back every year in full force to bring their items to an outdoor festival sales venue.”
In addition to arts and crafts there will be live music throughout the weekend at the gazebo.
Free Parking is available throughout the Village and at the Civic Center. Connecting sidewalks make for easy access to and from the festival site and to the many other walkable retail shops, antique shops, art galleries, wineries, and breweries that Salado has to offer. About the Village of Salado
Salado, Texas, located on Interstate I-35 between the cities of Waco and Austin, was an original stop for the stagecoach lines and was home to the first co-educational college in the State of Texas. Salado was founded at the Old Military Road crossing of Salado Creek on October 8, 1859, coincident with the conception of Salado College. Founded by early Scottish settlers because of its plentiful springs and rich farmland, Salado became a center for commerce and culture. Today, Salado is a destination for a thriving creative arts and business community with an emphasis on providing visitors a unique shopping, dining and lodging experience.
The purpose of the Salado Chamber of Commerce is to support the business environment in Salado and surrounding areas by actively promoting member businesses, creating opportunities for leadership development, and advocating for business growth.
