About

Titia Arledge is a Bachelor of Science graduate from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, with an emphasis in Ceramics since 1981.  Formerly known as The Village Potter, now is Mud Pies Pottery, and has been a working production studio since 1993. Titia works mainly in Medium High Fire Stoneware & Porcelain Clay bodies; focusing on Functional pieces for the home. Teaching Pottery classes & expanding the types of kilns to include future Gas reduction fired ware & Raku firings are in the works.

Salado's Empty Bowl Project that helps the Salado Family Relief Fund is a yearly project in November. Raising money throughout the year is at the top of the list of my endeavors, involving others to help make bowls, & calling upon other local potters to donate bowls surely helps the cause.

In 2003, Susan Stockton, owner & creator of Sir Wigglesworth's of Salado, believed the Fudge Business would be of great benefit; so lovingly carrying on her tradition, the Fudge & her recipes are made exactly like she did many years ago.  Expanding and offering other confections that are handmade throughout the year is quite the joy!

It has taken a village to raise a potter, but she can't think of anywhere else she'd rather be.  Totally blessed and thankful to be an art major working in her field of work.
