Description
VFW Post 12235 Salado is hosting its first music festival at Barrow Brewing Company, a veteran-owned business committed to
supporting the military and veteran communities on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 1-7pm.
The festival will feature local artists who are either currently serving, retired, or
strong advocates for the military community—bringing together music, camaraderie,
and support for those who have served our country.
This event is not only a celebration of music but also an opportunity for veterans and
civilians alike to connect, support veteran-owned businesses, and contribute to the
mission of VFW Post 12235 Salado. The festival will showcase a diverse lineup of
talented musicians, all united by their dedication to honoring and uplifting the veteran
community.
“We are thrilled to bring this festival to Salado, uniting our community through music
while highlighting the incredible contributions of veterans in every aspect of our lives,”
said Annette Whittenberger, Adjutant at VFW Post 12235. “With the launch of our
social media platforms, we hope to reach even more people who want to support our
mission and be part of something meaningful.”
The festival promises an unforgettable experience filled with great music, fellowship,
and an opportunity to give back. “Our mission at VFW Post 12235 is to create a lasting impact for veterans by fostering community, providing resources, and ensuring that no veteran feels alone in their journey. This music festival is a reflection of that commitment—bringing together service members, veterans, and supporters in a way that uplifts and strengthens us all. We invite everyone to join us, not just in celebrating music, but in honoring those who have sacrificed for our country.” – VFW Minnie Whitzel, Commander, VFW Post 12235 Salado.
